VNG Eye
Complete vestibular diagnostics, all in one device.
Designed for accuracy and ease, the VNG Eye delivers comprehensive eye movement analysis using dual infrared cameras and advanced software. From saccades to nystagmus, every test is streamlined into a single, lightweight system—ideal for clinics, labs, and portable use.

Why VNG Eye?
Everything you need for vestibular testing, simplified.
Complete Balance Assessment
The VNG Eye includes a complete set of diagnostic tests for evaluating vestibular function.

Saccades
Assesses rapid eye movements between fixed points. Helps identify neurological dysfunctions affecting ocular motor control.
Evaluates the eye’s ability to track slow-moving objects. Useful in detecting central vestibular and cerebellar disorders.
Smooth Pursuit
Optokinetic Test
Tests reflexive eye movement in response to moving visual stimuli. Supports differentiation between peripheral and central causes of dizziness.
Used in combination with irrigation methods to observe temperature-induced nystagmus. Supports ENT-led diagnostics of unilateral vestibular hypofunction.
Coloric Test
Nystagmus
Measures eye stability when looking in various directions. Detects gaze-evoked nystagmus linked to central lesions.
Measures eye stability when looking in various directions. Detects gaze-evoked nystagmus linked to central lesions.
Gaze Test
Positional Tests
Records eye movements during changes in head position. Commonly used to diagnose BPPV and other positional vertigo types.
Measures the patient’s perception of vertical alignment. Detects otolith dysfunction and central vestibular imbalances.
Subjective Visual Vertical (SVV)
Video Frenzel / Open Test
Allows observation of eye movements without visual fixation. Ideal for identifying nystagmus that may be suppressed by visual cues.

Frequently asked questions
1. Is the VNG Eye CE certified?
Yes. The VNG Eye is CE certified and complies with IEC 60601 medical device safety standards.
2. What tests are included?
The system includes 9 core protocols: saccades, smooth pursuit, optokinetics, gaze, nystagmus, positional, subjective visual vertical (SVV), video Frenzel, and caloric support.
3. How many cables do I need to connect?
Just one. The VNG Eye connects to your computer via a single USB cable, no external power supply required.
4. Does the setup take long?
Not at all. Simply plug it in, launch the software, and you’re ready to begin. Calibration and patient setup are intuitive and fast.
5. Is the system heavy or bulky?
It is not. The VNG Eye goggles weigh approximately 350 grams, making them lightweight, compact, and easy to handle during both stationary and portable use.
6. Do I need any additional hardware?
You’ll only need a secondary monitor (such as a TV or external display) to project the visual stimuli used during certain protocols. The rest of the setup is fully included.
7. Can I use the VNG Eye for home visits or remote testing?
Yes — the system is fully portable, compact, and fits into the included carry case for on-the-go diagnostics.
8. Do I need a dark room to perform the tests?
No. Thanks to the integrated magnetic visor and IR illumination, visual fixation is effectively blocked, eliminating the need for a dark testing environment.
9. Who can use the VNG Eye?
The VNG Eye is designed for use by ENT specialists, audiologists, neurologists, vestibular physiotherapists, and clinical researchers. Its intuitive interface also makes it accessible to trained technicians under clinical supervision.
